Beautiful Indian Abodes

Indian Interior Magazines are always breathtaking and when they showcase Pure,Traditional,Artistic Indian Homes,it becomes all the more interesting and exciting for me .Imagine my home choc bloc with hard copies of magazines.Seeing them itself is an inspiration. Below are two homes one of the Ace Photographer, Raghurai's Artistic abode and then one designed by the architect Shri Benny Kuriakose. The houses which Mr Benny Kuriakose has designed have a place close to my heart coz they are very earthy and rustic, just the way I want my home to be..

Shashank Johri  takes us through a tour of photographer Raghu Rai's farm house near Delhi.A long view of the living room.Peacock feathers grouped  in a round vase instantly raw attention.A mix of wood and stone furniture with interesting jaali work on the window panes give the house an old world charm. The facade of the house appears like an ode to the stone age.At the same time, the house seems to gel well with the abundant greens outside.

The dining area, the curvy background enhances the old world feel of the house. The theme of the house is neatly maintained in all rooms. The interiors are simple and rustic.Built from local stone mined from the Aravallis,it seems to rise out of the ground, blending in harmoniously with the landscape, almost asserting its rightful place.

This is a beautiful house named "Casa Roja"built in Chennai, designed by the Architect Benny Kuriakose. The Beautiful Mangalore tiled roofs just took my breath away.On a rainy day it must be so pretty to sit and watch the rain:)-This won him an award called Celebration of Architecture

mexican tiles have been given skirting on the steps. The owners are avid collectors,so for furniture they didn't have problem ,they incorporated the old with the new ..
